Karolus Group's story

The Karolus group is composed of 6 women who run and own businesses to support their family needs. Nelci has 3 children: two have their own jobs and live independent, while the youngest is still in high school.

Nelci (in the left side with a striped shirt) owns a business of raising piglets and has been running it for many years. In addition, she sells cakes, fried corn. She produces various cakes such as donuts, fried bread to be sold in a kiosk. Nelci is a very enterprising woman and she also receives order for tarts, cakes and fried corn.

Nelci has been thinking to raise more piglets, when a neighbour informed her about the TLM group loan product. She is very enthusiastic, as she has an opportunity to enhance this profitable business.

So Nelci and other women formed the Karolus group and have requested a loan totalling of IDR 12,000,000. Nelci and other women believe the loan will help them in improving the businesses. They promise to make the payments timely
