Christopher's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more hardware equipment, like paint, iron bars and iron sheets.

Christopher's story

Christopher is 36 years old and lives in the town of Kyengera in the Kampala western region of Uganda. He is married and has two children who are both currently in school. For the past ten years, Christopher has been working hard to manage his hardware business.

To help expand his business, Christopher has requested a loan of 5,000,000 UGX from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy more hardware equipment, like paint, iron bars and iron sheets, and will help Christopher to generate greater profits and to improve his standard of living. Christopher hopes that in the future, he will be able to complete the building he is constructing.

Christopher is a member of BRAC's Small Enterprise Program (SEP). The program primarily serves small entrepreneurs like Christopher, who do not have enough collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown too large for microloans.
