Teresita's story

Teresita is 35 years old and happily married to Edmundo, 41 years old, who is an ordinary carpenter in their village. The couple has been blessed with three children; two are still under their care and one is already married and now lives separately. The couple and their two children live in Barangay Minanga Sur Iguig, Cagayan.

Teresita has a small hog raising business that serves as her source of income. She sells the pigs in a slaughter house in Solana, Cagayan, which is the pig buying station in their area. To maintain her business Teresita needs more capital. She is hoping to borrow a loan of around PHP7,000 to purchase more feed for her hogs to make them grow healthy. The loan will be a big help to earn more income for Teresita so she can provide for all her family's needs.

Teresita also assists her husband in planting rice, peanuts, and watermelon twice a year. She really works hard for the welfare of her family. She hopes to maintain her business and make it more progressive in order to provide her family a good living condition.
