Wella's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy ingredients for her food stall and to pay two occasional helpers.

Wella's story

Wella is really thankful for CCT and Kiva because her previous loan requests were kindly granted. Just recently, her loan of PHP 40,000 was used to buy pork, chicken, fish fillets, fries, fish balls, squid balls, and other ingredients for her catering and food stall businesses. Wella was able to cook more recipes, which attracted more customers. Her earnings helped meet her family's daily living expenses. Wella has added some money to her savings for emergency purposes.

Wella would now like to apply for another PHP 40,000 loan, which she will again use to buy ingredients for her food stall business. She will also pay the wages of her two occasional helpers. She thanks God and you in advance for the financial assistance that will be given to her. This support extends to her needy helpers.

Wella dreams of someday having a bigger restaurant that earns enough for her family. This would perhaps allow her husband to stop working abroad and just stay with her and their child in the country. Wella fervently prays for it.

Every week, Wella meets up with her co-fellowship* members to share stories of her work and to draw strength and inspiration from the Word of God which she studies. All Center for Community Transformation (CCT) community partners/clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital and repay microfinance loans.
