Tiessiri Group's story
Kadiatou is farmer who is 41 years old, married, mother of 3 children all aged between 11-18 years old. They are all in school and her husband does market gardening in order to support his family's wellbeing. She is not educated because she did not have the opportunity to go to the school. Kadiatou is a sheep farmer who is dedicated to her job. Not having many finances in order to succeed in her profession, she has asked for assistance from the IMF in order to have more finances to be able to generate more profit in her work and to be able to buy more sheep for the development of her business. She dreams to solidly build her home and to be able to generate more profit. She gets her supplies in rural areas and re-sells them; she masters a sales method which allows her to make profits which vary between 10000 and 20000 CFA per loan cycle. Kadiatou is the woman on the left, holding in her hand the rope attached to the sheep. NB: the others in the photo are all members of the group.
