A loan helped to purchase seeds and expand her farm.

Naomi's story

Naomi is 29 years old and a farmer from the remote village in the Kenyenya area of Kenya. The living conditions in this area are tough because there is no clean water nor electrical connections. Naomi lives with her family on a small piece of land where she keeps dairy cows and poultry and grows a wide variety of crops. For seven years, Naomi's primary sources of income have been milk, eggs, and produce.

Naomi joined Juhudi Kilimo in order to access loans that would help her improve her farming activities. She requested a loan, which she will use to expand her farm in order to expand her operations and increase her overall output. The additional income from the expansion will go to Naomi's children's education. With the loan, Naomi’s children will acquire a quality education that will act as a strong foundation for a bright future.
