Bodjina -Wana Group's story

Souleymane is pictured holding the cow’s horn. He is 27 years old and married with three children ages one through six. The children do not currently attend school. His wife manages their household and also contributes financially by raising sheep. For five years, Souleymane has earned a living raising cattle. He purchases animals in the local market, then later resells them in the same or other markets. He typically earns a profit of 40,000 to 50,000 francs per cow. Thanks to the profits from his business, Souleymane is able to meet the nutritional needs and health costs of his family. Souleymane currently has four head of cattle which he is raising and provides veterinary care for. With the help of this loan, he plans to grow his business by purchasing additional cattle.
