Sabougnouma Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy a young bull to resell later.

Sabougnouma Group's story

Amadou is the member on the left of the photo who is holding the bull by the cord. He is a member of the mixed group Sabougnouma, mainly women. He is 35 years old. He lives with his wife and his eight children (six boys and two girls) in Mali. Three of them go to school. His wife raises sheep besides doing the housework. Amadou has been raising cattle for 12 years. He buys calves at the public market, feeds them for a number of months and then resells them at the same market.

Amadou is requesting his second loan from RMCR to buy a young bull, salt and hay in order to raise it and resell it with an estimated profit of 55,000 FCFA. It will help him pay for school supplies, health care and clothing for his children. He hopes to ensure a better future for his children with the fruit of his labor.
