Soul Sisters V 30 Group's story

Mrs Mạc is 51 years old and she is married with three children. She has a son with neuropathy, so she has to stay at home and take care of him. She has been working in agriculture, raising poultry for more than 10 years. Mạc lives in Thieu Hoa district, a rural town in Thanh Hoa province. Her family is a low-income household in village, and moreover, the market need is low in this region. The income from this business is unstable, because when some poultry disease happens, they die which left her nothing to sell.

The main hardship that Mạc faces is lack of capital. She is requesting a loan to purchase baby poultry to raise and sell in future to cover living costs and take care of her son. In 2014, Mạc joined Thanh Hoa microfinance institution to improve her business. She has successfully repaid two loans from Thanh Hoa microfinance institution.

Mạc is a reputable person in the community. That's why she is elected to be the leader of her solidarity group. She is the fourth person from the left on the picture. With her business profits, Mạc hopes for her business to do well, for her children to find good jobs, and for her family to be healthy and happy.
