Stephen's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay for university fees.

Stephen's story

Stephen is 24 years old, single, and the firstborn of seven children. He lives by himself in the Kibera slums in Nairobi, Kenya. He graduated from secondary school in the year 2009 with a B-(minus).

After working in different companies for four years, he was lucky to join Digital Divide Data, where the prospect of higher education, professional opportunities and talent growth were his motivator.

DDD offers an intensive work-study program to its employees, and he is a beneficiary.

The partial scholarship is not enough to support his full learning at the university. Thus, he is requesting a loan to pay part of the third-year fees for his Bachelor of IT at Kenyatta University.

He has had a passion for studying IT since he was a child. He intends to use his knowledge to improve the lives of the marginalized and the less fortunate in the society by tackling social challenges. He also wants to revolutionize health and education for all through the delivery of better public services.
