Golondrinas Group's story
Golondrinas [Swallow birds] is a group made up of three hardworking small business women with great desire to excel. Yamileth, a 42- year old married woman is the coordinator. 10 years ago she opened a small grocery store out of her home where she offers various products with the the goal of meeting consumers' needs. Along with her husband's support she is applying for her 15th loan to buy rice, sugar, oil, and meat. With the profits she made from the previous loan she was able to improve the infrastructure of her premises, which is why she argues that the loan has been very useful to her. 43-year-old Rebecca, and 51-year-old Estela are also grocery store owners.
