Rajani's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to build a clean and hygienic toilet at her home so that she can enjoy increased privacy and hygiene.

Rajani's Group's story

The lady standing to the left in the photograph is Rajani. She is a humble resident of a small and rural village of Nayagarh, Odisha, India. Rajani is a married lady and has two grown daughters. Her husband works as a daily wage labor and they have a very low household income.

The prevailing financial crisis has not allowed Rajani to build a toilet in her house. She has to depend upon open fields for defecation and urination. It is practically impossible for a woman to be safe if she is depending upon isolated places for relieving herself as she is vulnerable to insect bites and crimes.

Therefore, Rajani, along with her group member, is requesting a loan of 30,000 INR from Kiva's partner Peoples Forum. She will use her portion of the loan to build a clean and hygienic toilet at her home so that she can enjoy her increased privacy and hygiene.

Rajani is in dire need of your kind help and is eagerly awaiting the same.
