Pinos Verdes Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy wholesale goods.

Pinos Verdes Group's story

The communal bank "Pinos Verdes" is beginning its second Pro Mujer loan cycle through the German Busch Social Center. The group has eight members and Silvia is the president of the group's management board. The members are involved in different businesses including hardware, and sales of security alarm, alpaca socks, condiments, clothing, furniture, DVD's, shoes and crafts.

The loan they are taking out will benefit small business owners including Silvia. She says this is her second year in Pro Mujer having joined through a mass invitation conducted by the institution in her area. She currently has a harware business and learned about the trade on her own initiative.

The loan she is requesting now is to increase her capital to buy wholesale goods from wholesale dealers in the city of La Paz. Later she will sell the merchandise at her stall. Her work has allowed her to support her family economically. She and her partner have two children.

When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer she says it is the training and health area offered by the institution.
