Martha Cecilia's story

The Santa Mónica communal bank meets every fortnight in the city of Manta, This city is known for it's beautiful beaches which are very popular throughout the year, it's gastronomy and as a city of unequaled beauty and many tourist attractions.

Martha is 36 years old. She is in a common-law relationship and has three children from this relationship, aged 9, 7 and 4 years old. They study in school. Her husband is a bricklayer.

She is a great housewife who in order to make her own income decided to open a small grocery store in her house. With the passing of time and the loans she has stocked her store more each time to satisfy her customers. She sells grains like rice, sugar and lentils as well as vegetables, some housewares and stationary items. She likes her business as she earns her living from her house where at the same time she can take care of her young ones.

She will use this loan to buy food. She has been in the communal bank for four years and she likes it for the support she receives from the loans. Her dreams are to improve her business.
