Khursheeda's story

Khursheeda is a 38-year old woman, living in the area of Lahore, Pakistan. Her son owns a small crockery store, in which he sells utensil and crockery items such as plates, dishes, cups, jars, glass, jugs, mugs, cauldron and buckets. He is a single responsible for his family. He has only one source of income, he has to afford the expenses of utility bills and household expenses, alone. The condition of his house is not up to the mark according to the living standard. He wants buy more inventories to sell because most of his female customers purchase utensils in large quantity for making dowry. For this purpose more inventories are required to cope with the sudden increase in the demand. Khursheeda requested a loan from Kiva’s field partner’s BRAC Pakistan, so her son can buy utensil and crockery itmes and could generate more income. Khursheeda is very thankful to the Kiva’s field partner BRAC Pakistan to help further her living standards.
