Burmash's story

Burmash is 62 years old, widowed, the mother of 6 children, and a grandmother. Burmash has a secondary education; after graduating from school, she worked as a cleaning woman and a store cashier. She is now retired, but supplements her pension with agricultural work. She has 4 cows, 2 horses, and 6 sheep. On a 2.88 hectare plot of land, Burmash grows wheat, clover, and potatoes. In order to further develop her farm, she has applied to Bai Tushum Bank for a loan of 50,000 som (KGS) in order to purchase livestock to increase the size of her herd and improve her family's well-being. Burmash plans to use the revenue from the loan to develop her farm and the welfare of her family.
