A loan helped to make some renovations to his family home.

Mark's story

Mark is a villager and farmer in his early 60's and the married father of four grownups. The loan that Mark is requesting from you will be used to make some renovations on their family home.

Mark has been pursuing agriculture and livestock to earn a living. He's got 750 square meters planted with grapevines and from this he sells 150 liters of homemade local alcohol drink called 'raki' at a price of $3.2/kg totaling about $500/year. He has two dairy cows from which he sells 2.5 kg of homemade cheese at a price of $2.3/kg a day with the annual net earning roughly $2000. In addition he sells two baby calves a year, one in September and one in February, each at a price of $323.

Mark also owns 19 dynym of agricultural land where he plants mainly corn and fodder that he uses for his animals with the expenses totaling $350/year. "I can't do all this work by myself. I have my daughter and my wife joining me in this labour demanding activity," said Mark to the loan officer during the interview.
