Minata's Group's story

In the photograph, Minata is wearing a white scarf and she's sitting next to the man. She's a member of a group of 14 farmers who work and live in Gouanan, a village in Mali. Minata, age 60, lives in a family of 25, including 8 children. She became a farmer out of tradition. As a farmer, she faces difficulties, such as the lack of rain. She reregistered with myAgro due to the payment system. For her second year with myAgro, she bought fertilizers to grow peanuts and okra on her 1/8 hectare plot. With this purchase, Minata hopes to be able to increase her yields, in order to diversify her crops by adding onions, and to build a house.
