Sita's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to rent a space and purchase embroidery materials and fabrics in bulk.

Sita's Group's story

The lady standing to the left-hand side of the photograph is Sita. She is a resident of a village in Balugaon, Odisha, India. Sita is a divorcee and considers herself as a blessed mother, as her daughters have supported her through out the difficult phase of her life. She, being an ambitious and intellectual lady, always takes care that her daughters get the best education and access to all necessary resources.

To earn a living and provide a comfortable living for her family, Sita has engaged in making hand-crafted applique work in fabrics from last four years. She does this work from her home, as she lacks capital to rent a space. Renting a space will help Sita to work spaciously and comfortably and display her product perfectly so that she can gain the attention of customers.

Sita, along with her group member, is requesting a loan of 36,000 INR from Kiva's partner, People's Forum. She will use her portion of the loan to rent a space and purchase embroidery materials and fabrics in bulk so as to increase her customer base as well as her cash flow.

Sita is eagerly awaiting for your kind help and generous support with lots of hope and aspirations.
