Sakeena's story

Attention to detail, dedication, and passion for her work are what drive Sakeena to succeed. She is a 53-year-old woman who has a business making traditional clothing. She works every day for the sake of her family, who live in a community in Multan, Pakistan. She is working hard to develop her businesses and improve her life at the same time. She earns a limited income to cover the needs and expenses of her children.

Nothing is more important to Sakeena than her five children. That is why she is always seeking to develop her business. Her main source of income is her traditional clothes-making business. The challenge Sakeena is facing is to have sufficient capital to run the business and to be able support her family.

In order to continue her success, she is now requesting a loan from Kiva’s field partner, BRAC Pakistan, which she will invest in buying an electric loom and materials such as cotton and fabrics in different colors.

Sakeena and her family are thankful to the Kiva, its lenders and its field partner, BRAC Pakistan, for helping them by funding this loan to improve their standard of living.
