A loan helped to pay for university fees.

Susan's story

Susan lives in Mukuru Kwa Njenga slums, Nairobi. She comes from a poor family and is an orphan, too. Her secondary education was smoothened by sponsorship and bursaries. However, she could not further her studies due to financial constraints.

Susan's hope was replenished after she joined Digital Divide Data (DDD). DDD is an organization that offers work and study program opportunities to talented youths from low-income families so that they can better their lives and those of the community at large. Through DDD, she managed to join Kenyatta University, where she is currently a third-year student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Education.

The partial scholarship she receives from DDD is not enough to support her full learning at the university. She is therefore requesting a loan to pay for her third-year, second semester university fees so as to continue with her studies, which will see her change her life and that of the society in the future.
