Radhabai's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to build a hygienic and closed toilet and install a powerful hand pump.

Radhabai's Group's story

Radhabai, standing to the extreme right-hand side of the photograph, is a trapped victim of rural India's sanitation crisis. She considers her life to be miserable without a toilet at her home, and this has made her suffer from infections many times. The unhygienic and unsanitary practice of open defecation is dangerous for human health, and women are more susceptible to crime and molestation; furthermore, walking a long distance at odd hours is not feasible enough as safety is concerned.

Radhabai, along with her other group members, is requesting a loan amount of 54,000 INR from Kiva's partner People's Forum. She will use her portion of the loan amount to build a hygienic and closed toilet, which will increase her safety and hygiene, and install a powerful hand pump to facilitate water supply so as to increase her convenience and prevent her from standing in long queues.

Access to the loan amount will ultimately help Radhabai to increase her savings and enjoy a good, healthy and disease-free life. Radhabai is in dire need of your kind help and is eagerly awaiting your kind help and support.
