Mary is a 54-year-old businesswoman. She is a leader of Asesewa group. Asesewa group has six members, and all six members are women. Mary is standing at the very left in the picture. Mary sells smoked fish. She has been in this business for the past 23 years. She opens her business six days a week from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mary established her business to help support her family. Since she is a single parent of two sons, she work very hard to provide food from the profit she gets from her business. Mary and her group members need a loan. She will use her portion to buy additional fishes and firewood. She hopes that this loan will help her generate more profit to support her family. In the feature, Mary plans to save more money to provide for her children's university education. She believes educating her children to the university level will better the lives of her family.
