Julian's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to build a new stable and buy food for his 120 goats including their babies.

Julian's story

This is Julian, a 35-year-old villager who is grazing his goats, 120 in total. "I love what I do and I love my goats. I just enjoy taking care of them," said Julian to the loan officer who interviewed him. The loan that he is requesting from Kiva lenders will be used to build a decent stable and buy feed for his animals.

"The stable that I currently have to shelter my animals is a rental one and I pay $40/month. Very soon the rental contract ends and there is no chance to be renewed. This is why I soon must build a new stable and in my territory," continued Julian in the conversation with the loan officer who met him while he was grazing his goats.

To make food for the animals he plants rye in 10 dynym of land that he rents from others. Julian sells mainly milk and earns about $6000/year; 100 baby goats/year for $3000; and also sells 20 goats for dried meat/bacon for $1700/year.
