Fakaben Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to raise cows for resale after eight months of care and feeding.

Fakaben Group's story

Here are the members of the Fakaben group. Kadidia is the woman who is holding the cow. She is a livestock raiser aged 42, married and the mother of six children aged from 4 to 22 years of age. Four of them attend school. Kadidia is from Mali. Her husband is a farmer and she is generous. Kadidia is illiterate; she has been in this business for eight years.

Kadidia came to the microfinance institution because she has insufficient working capital to run her business well. She buys cattle when the price is reasonable and after eight months of care and upkeep, she resells them at a price that allows her to make an expected profit of 30,000 per month. She has a good reputation. She makes her purchases and sales in a local market.

Kadidia would like to have other loans so as to grow her purchases and count herself among the most important livestock raisers in her village, and also earn more from her business.
