A loan helped to pay for bags of sugar.

J.t. Strickers Group's story

Zainab is a 47-year-old married woman with three children, who are 27, 23 and 15 years old. Zainab is the leader of the J.T. Strickers Solidarity Group, which is made up of five members. All five members, including Zainab, are engaged in petty trading but they sell different products.

Zainab sells sugar, and she has been doing this for the past 30 years. She uses the proceeds from her business to help her husband pay fees for her children’s education and to provide a livelihood for her family.

Zainab is standing in the middle of the picture. She and the other group members of J.T. Strickers Solidarity are requesting a loan of 13,000,000 SLL. Of this amount, Zainab will personally receive 3,000,000 SLL, which she will use to purchase additional bags of sugar.

Zainab hopes that her business will continue to exist so that she can save enough money to help with household expenses, and also prepare for her children's future. She hopes that this loan will earn her more profit for her to support her family. She and her group members thank you for financing their businesses.
