Janette's story

Born in 1963, Janette is a Lebanese woman who lives with her husband in an owned apartment in the Chouf area of Lebanon.

She established her home-based business a long time ago. She does embroidery, crochet, and works with wool clothes. In addition, she works in food preparation with a mortar (jam, dried fruits, etc.) in order to increase her income.

Her husband works as a builder. He takes projects inside and outside the area where he lives.
For the first time, Janette is asking for a 1,543,658 Lebanese pound loan from Kiva partner Ibdaa. She needs to buy additional embroidery equipment for her business.

Janette is very ambitious. She is doing her best to develop her business and increase her income, and thus to help her husband with the housing expenses.
