Bano's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to help her brother increase his wholesale business.

Bano's story

Bano is a 38-year-old woman, residing in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. She is the mother of three children and is a widow. Her brother is the guardian of family, and manages the entire household. Her brother has been running his own business as a rice and commodities wholesaler for the past 22 years.

Bano's brother needs to buy bags of rice in bulk and other commodities for resale purposes. However, due to financial constraints he is unable to purchase these commodities. Therefore, Bano has applied for a Kiva loan from its field partner BRAC Pakistan.

This loan will assist her brother to buy these commodities for resale purposes, to earn maximum profitable income. This profitable income will also help him to make savings, to meet the needs of the family and the business.

Bano is very thankful to Kiva and BRAC Pakistan.
