Mary Ann's story

For more than four years now, Mary Ann has operated a sari-sari (variety) store, selling various goods ranging from noodles, canned goods, soft drinks, sugar, eggs, and soap to beverages. She is forty-four years old and a married woman with no dependents. Together with her husband, she lives in the town of Talibon, Bohol.

Mary Ann is asking for a loan to buy canned goods, snacks, and rice. These will keep her store fully stocked so she can attract more buyers. Thus, her earnings will start to improve and continually roll-out her capital. With these improvements, she could start to save and be able to do some expansion.

Mary Ann is hoping that someday, she will become a successful entrepreneur and have a progressive livelihood.
