A loan helped pay for her studies in Architecture.

Lelsy Yolany's story

Lesly is 35 years old, single, and she lives with her mother and brothers.

She earned her High School Degree in Sciences and Letters, which gave her opportunities to obtain a good job at an early age. At the time the economic situation of the family was not good and so she needed to work to help her mother take care of her brothers.

With hard work and determination, Lesly began her university career in Architecture, but her economic situation forced her to take a break from her studies for a while. And so, she is asking for a loan in order to pay for her studies.

She is a talented and artistic young woman, pro-active, enterprising, and hard working; qualities that have helped her to achieve many of her dreams, including going back to school.

Her motivation is to be able to become a professional in the construction industry, to also grow as a person, and to create a better future for herself in which she can give her family a better quality of life.

With her education, Lesly hopes to open the door to new opportunities, higher income, and new long term dreams that will help her support her brothers, following her mother's example set for Lesly in childhood.

When she was as young as two years old Lesly's father died and her mother worked hard to provide a good life for the children, even with her limited education. From her, Lesly learned the valuable lesson of solidarity, which she puts into practice in the care she gives her little brothers and as a volunteer at a local youth center.

Her goal and plan for the future is to graduate and to become an architect.
