A loan helped to buy more cows to breed for calves to sell.

Nan Group's story

Nan is a 47-year-old married rice farmer with two dependent children, who resides in the Takeo Province in Cambodia. She has cultivated rice and fattened cows since 1981. One of her children is a factory worker and another one is a student. Her husband is a 49-year-old man who earns his main income from building houses. The family can earn around $ 18 each day. Nan is a group leader. She would like to request a loan group of six members, which she will use her portion to buy more cows to breed for calves to sell. With this loan, she will be able to have enough money to buy cows and earn more income when the cows are able to produce calves. In the future, Nan wants to buy a plow tractor for rice farming, and support her youngest child to go to university.
