Patricia Jhannet Marcia's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped buy a blender-mixer and baking implements such as trays and molds of different sizes to thereby generate a better income for her family.

Patricia Jhannet Marcia's story

Patricia is 49 years old and lives in the southeastern zone of the city of Cochabamba. She is a widow with two dependent children who are still in college. Since one year ago she has been working making dough, pies, cakes and all kinds of pastries, at first by hand on a small scale with a home oven. Last year she acquired an industrial oven and she made adequate space for this occupation. She makes turnovers, rolls, coffee cakes, and cakes to order. Since last year she has been making cakes for any occasion, because she completed a certificate course in cake decoration.

She needs a loan because the mixers she has are for home use and do not suffice for larger orders. She wants to expand her business by accepting large orders, and she therefore wants to buy a blender-mixer, baking implements such as trays, molds of different sizes, and racks and shelves to take items out of the oven. She is also working with a vehicle to get the orders to different kiosks and to people with whom she has already worked. This vehicle needs tires and replacements for several parts in order to aid her in the occupation that helps her support her children in college until they finish their studies.
