A loan helped to buy seeds, plastic sheeting for her greenhouse, and fertilizer to grow organic watermelons.
Zuura is 54, married, and a happy mother of two. She has a vocational education and works as an inspector at a water treatment plant. She is also a farmer and has two cows, twenty sheep, and a 1.03 hectare plot of land where she grows watermelons to sell. Thanks to her hard work, she currently earns 20,000 som (KGS) per month. In order to expand her business, Zuura applied for a loan of 120,000 som (KGS) with Bai-Tushum Bank to buy seeds, plastic sheeting for her greenhouse, and fertilizer so that she can grow organic fruit. She plans to use the earnings from the loan to invest in expanding her business.
