but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped for the sale of baked goods typical of the region made from corn.

San Jose Group's story

The community bank San Jose is made up of 8 members: 7 women and 1 man who are responsible mothers and fathers of 15 minor children. They are from El Sauce, which is located in the northern zone of the region. They are hard workers, responsible, and want to improve their lives. In their free time they like to have fun with their children and currently are struggling to get ahead in their different economic pursuits and offer their children the stability they need. Unfortunately these people could not study and they saw the need to work to cover their living costs. Currently the Coordinator is Felix Ramona. She makes her living selling baked goods door-to-door as well as from her home. She dedicates 8 hours daily to her business offering her products for sale. Every day she walks the streets of her community with a 20 Kilogram tub on her head. She also takes orders from her customers. San Jose appreciates the help that the Kiva investors offer to people of limited resources and poor countries like Nicaragua in order to have dignified work.
