Grace's story

Grace is a resident from the town of Batuan, Bohol. She is 59 years of age, married and has three grown children. She raises hogs to earn a living. Her family earns an income by means of farming and being a barangay (village) councilor as well.

For the past 10 years, Grace has sold hogs to the local settlers in her community. To improve her earnings, she decided to join Kiva's field partner CEVI to acquire a loan.

Grace has requested a loan to to invest in piglets, feed and vitamins. These will help boost and improve her hog-raising livelihood. With these, she could be able to raise quality hogs and slowly gain higher profit. Thus, she can start to save and look for ways on how to become more successful.

Grace is aiming to have a healthy family and a sustainable livelihood.
