Elizabeth's story

This is Elizabeth, aged 52, and a resident of Dasmarinas City, Cavite. She is married to Jesus, her business partner. The couple help each other to meet their family's needs and provide for the education of their children. Elizabeth is thankful that God has blessed her with a general store. She buys essential food items such as canned goods, coffee, biscuits, beverages and toiletries from wholesalers and then sells them at retail prices. She values her mini-store for this has been her family's source of income for the last 10 years. To help her expand the operations of her store, Elizabeth is requesting a 10,000 PHP loan to buy more grocery items such as canned goods, instant noodles, biscuits, bread, eggs, etc. to sell in her small store. Although she finds it hard at times to collect from those who buy on credit, she is still grateful that God provides her with enough for their basic needs. She is thanking God and you in advance for your good heart and the financial aid that will be given to her. Elizabeth dreams that someday she will own a big grocery store. She wants to see her children finish school as education is their path to a better life. She faithfully meets up with her co-fellowship* members to share stories of her work every week and it is here that she can also draw strength and inspiration from the Word of God she studies. * All CCT community partners / clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital and repay Micro Finance loans.
