Blanca Azucena's story
Blanca is a 56-year-old single mother. She lives with her son in the town of San Pedro Sula. She started her own business many years ago making and selling flour tortillas. She carries out her business from her home and she has a lot of loyal customers. She is requesting a loan of 21,000 Lempiras, her fourth one from ODEF. She will use it to buy flour, butter, eggs, milk, yeast, and baking soda to make flour tortillas. She intends to use the loan to make a wholesale purchase so that she can make bigger profits. Her goal is to grow her business and her sales so that her family can enjoy a larger income and she can keep on using the business as her sole source of income.
