Bernardina is a very hard working woman. She is 55 years old and is a single mother with a beautiful family of five children aged between 15 and 36 years old. This family lives in a community in Cantón San Bernadino. In order to generate an income and provide for her family, Bernardina makes a living selling Atole (a regional cornflour drink) and has been making a living from this job for five years. Her business is located in the main square in her community. Bernardina is a very diligent woman, and with the aim of satisfying her clients more, she has decided to ask for a loan in order to buy ingredients such as maize, rice, milk and chocolate, since the atoles that Bernardina makes are very delicious and many of her clients often seek her out. Her greatest dream is to grow her business and improve her home.
