Aby's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy four 25-litre bowls of baobab fruit, one 50-kg sack of red sorel, two 50-kg sacks of sugar, and bags for ice.

Aby's Group's story

This 24-member group was created in January 1998 at the inception of the banc villageois. It is comprised of women, the majority of whom have solid experience in small business, which is their principal endeavor. They share the values of solidarity and mutual support.

Mrs. Aby (standing to the far right in blue with her hand raised) is the star borrower of the group. She is 58 years old, and a married mother of three.

She sells juice and ice.

This new loan will allow her to buy four 25-litre bowls of baobab fruit, one 50-kg sack of red sorel, two 50-kg sacks of sugar, and other ingredients to make her juice, as well as bags for ice.

The profits will allow her to actively participate in the management of household expenses, especially for the schooling, clothing, and medical care of her children.
