Tulivyo Group's story

Coleta is 50 years old and the mother of six children. Three of her children are adults and the others are still dependents. Coleta is a farmer. Since she has quite a big family, she puts maximum efforts into her agricultural activities and works daily from four in the morning through five in the afternoon to increase her profit. Coleta used her previous loans to buy seeds and fumigate her land. She’s happy her business is going well and that she has managed to repay her previous loans successfully. Coleta appreciates Kiva and the support lenders have given her loan group. Coleta is requesting a loan to purchase manure and seeds to plant at her new plot of land in the Kibaha district. This will be her third loan with Tujijenge Tanzania. Her loan will be a massive investment toward achieving her dream of becoming one of largest groundnuts producers in Kibaha town. Coleta will share her loan with members of the “Tulivyo” group who will hold each other accountable for repaying their group loan.
