Ermelita's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped To buy more yards of fabric, sequins, tassels, ribbon, and other materials needed to sew dresses and to pay for the repair of her sewing machine.
Ermelita is very thankful for the previous loan granted to her by Kiva, which was used to buy 100 yards of fabric, zippers, buttons, and other materials needed to sew dresses and sell to her customers. Ermelita's business is doing well, and the last October to December has been her most in demand month, in which she sold 5 dresses and accepted orders for 15 more dresses, curtains, and dress repairs. With the help of the loan, she was able to buy fabric and materials and made the dresses her customers ordered. Her income has increased, and she was able to pay her loan on time. The revenue of her income is used for everyday expenses. Just recently one of her sewing machines broke down and cannot used for business. Now that the demand for her sewing shop has increased, she needs her sewing machine operating to supply her customers orders. Ermelita is requesting a re-loan amounting to PHP 30,000 to buy more yards of fabric, sequins, tassels, ribbon, and other materials needed to sew dresses and to pay for the repair of her sewing machine. The loan will enable her make her sewing machine operate and restock her fabric to be made into dresses. Ermelita hopes to continuously manage her shop to support her family expenses and save for her old age and unplanned events.
