A loan helped To buy more land and expand her farming.

Monica's story

Monica is a smallholder farmer who wants to demonstrate each day that she is a great crop and dairy farmer who is important to her home, and that she can succeed and be financially independent.

Her dream of wanting to get out of poverty is the reason behind Monica starting to practice mixed farming a few years ago. Monica is a jovial mother of lovely children whom she refers to as her “heartbeat.” She hails from the Thika area of Kenya, a place that has good weather patterns that favor crop and dairy farming. The region's staple food is “Ugali”, a mouthwatering delicacy prepared from maize.

Monica is a very hardworking farmer who enjoys farming, which she has been doing on her small piece of land. Through all those years that she has been farming, she has gained much experience and is one of the most respected farmers in her village because of the immense knowledge that she has of farming. Monica offers extension services to other farmers who are new in the business. Being a caring and loving mother, Monica has been able to take care of her family and support them through the profits she has earned from farming. Although Monica reaps much profit from farming, one challenge that she is facing that is dragging her down and preventing her from reaching the top of the skies is lack of enough land to farm.

For this reason, Monica is seeking a loan of KES 550,000 to buy a piece of land and expand her farming activities. Having so much experience in farming, Monica is sure that she will make good use of the land and double her profit levels. Through the profits, she would be able to repay the loan and improve her living conditions.

Monica is sure that if you invest in him, she will be able to realize her dream of having a good quality life and securing her children's future. Monica has gone through the repayment schedule and amount and is comfortable with the plan.
