Muong Phang 51 Group's story

Mrs. Tham, 34, is an ethnic Thai lady who is married and the mother of three children: two daughters, 9 and 13, and a son, 4. She lives with her husband and her children in a traditional Thai stilt house in a small poor village. Mrs. Tham works very hard at agricultural production, with several activities, such as growing rice and raising pigs, chickens and buffalo, while her husband works as a motorcycle mechanic. Sometimes, Tham goes into the market and works as a trader. She would like to take out a loan from the Anh Chi Em program to increase her production and earn additional income for her family. This will be the fifth time she has received a loan from the program, and she will use the loan to buy fish fingerlings and develop a fish farm. She hopes the fish will grow fast, and healthily, and then bring in a good income for her family. Mrs. Tham dreams that her family will have better living conditions, and that her children will study hard and become successful in life and their careers. In the picture, she is the first person on the right.
