Piramide I Group's story

The members of the Pirâmide I group have known each other for seven years and are neighbors. They have applied for twelve loans from Banco do Povo (BPCS) in the past. Valdilene owns a mini market, Edinilce is a seamstress, Cleuma owns a mini market, Inaura has a clothing store, Cibele owns a candy shop, and Mauricio sells cosmetics and works in advertising.

Neli is the group's leader. She is 56 years old, married, and has two daughters and two granddaughters. Her daughters are married and finished college. She lives with her husband in the Maua community, in São Paulo. She is a hardworking, joyful and honest person who helps the people from her community when she can.

Neli has a pet shop. She gives pets a bath and cuts their hair, and sells vaccines and feed. Her eldest daugther helps her. She works to help sustain her home. She has twelve years of experience in this business. She started to work with this because she used to work at the marketplace and wanted to open her own establishment to become independent. She likes cats, dogs and birds, so she realized that there was an opportunity to open a pet shop.

Her activity is special because she can help her friends from the community and work with animals. It is also good for her self-esteem because she really loves them.

Neli needs a loan to buy animal feed, medicines, and cleaning products. With the profits from this loan she will be able to invest in more products. In the future, she plans to open another pet shop.

She is proud of her activity because she works with her family, and everything she has achieved has been through her work. In the future, she would like to travel with her husband.

The members of the group would like to tell lenders that they appreciate the opportunity, and the fact that they trust them without knowing them, which helps them a lot.
