Carmen Group's story

The group "Carmen" is formed by three hard working women who organized themselves a year and a half ago in order to access financing. They want to be able to improve their lives, cover the basic needs of their households, ensure their children's education and expand their businesses.

Rosibel, a member of this solidarity group, is a friendly woman who desires to improve her life. She belongs to the Miskito ethnic group of the municipality of "Puerto Cabezas". Rosibel is 36 years old, married and has 3 children: the oldest is 19 years old and is in his second year of college, an 8 year old adolescent who is in third grade of elementary school and a 6-month old baby. She sells new clothing in order to have her own source of income. Rosibel is requesting a loan to buy slippers, shirts, pants and accessories for women in Managua. This will allow her to increase her sales and generate more income. She dreams of becoming a successful entrepreneur.
