Tainah's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to purchase cost efficient farm inputs for the coming harvesting season.
Tainah's Group's story
Tainah is 49 years old and has six children. She has been a farmer for 20 years and is always said to be a very reliable person. Even though Tainah is the only one featured in the above picture, she is representing her group formed by seven farmers in Teso District, Kenya. Tainah started working alongside One Acre Fund in 2006 and decided to do so because she wanted to have access to quality training and acquire new farming methods. Since then, she has seen her life improve, especially in the sense that she has had more profits from each harvest ever since. She used part of her profit to purchase a cow. This year she decided to represent her group because she wanted to help more farmers. Tainah’s Group will receive farming inputs to plant a total of 3.5 acres of land. Additionally, some of the farmers in the group will be purchasing a solar light so, with this loan, the group will also receive a total of three solar lights.
