Kishore's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to renovate her small stall into a larger shop.

Kishore's story

Kishore is a 26-year-old unmarried, differently-abled lady from a small tribal village of Koraput district, Odisha, India. Life has been very bitter for Kishore. She has survived society's criticisms and satires and has always felt deprived, compared to other, normal people. But she never broke her willpower due to these criticisms; rather she decided to make herself financially independent by engaging in some income-generating activity so that she would never be a burden on her parents and her brother.

After completing her high school studies, Kishore has been engaged in selling snacks and grocery items in her own stall which is located in a rest area on the highway. She makes tasty pakoras and mood-soothing tea in the evening and also sells daily household consumables in her shop.

She is requesting a loan in the amount of 30,000 INR from Kiva's partner People's Forum to renovate her small stall into a larger shop so that she can stock more varieties of foods as well as household consumables so as to attract new customers and please her existing customers by offering them a wide range of product lines.

Kishore is in dire need of your kind help and is eagerly awaiting the same with lots of hopes and aspirations.
