Jaada's story

Jaada is 22 years old. She lives with her parents and seven siblings in the Chereponi district. She sells a wide variety of school supplies, including pens, pencils and books. Jaada sells her products from a table in front of her house near a school. Jaada is requesting a Kiva loan to construct a shop for her business. She plans to use the profit she earns to reinvest in her business and purchase more stock.

Jaada volunteers as a Camfed Learner Guide, leading life skills sessions for students at her local high school. She covers topics such as active citizenship and personal confidence. The interest on Jaada’s social-interest loan will be repaid through her weekly volunteer work. Jaada's dream is to become a nurse in her community
