Banco De Piedra Group's story

A community in Mexico State contrasts its small territory with the great beauty of its scenery, where anyone would think that it is always Spring. Its inhabitants are very likable, hardworking and above all, friendly. In this community is the "Banco de piedra" group, which is made up of people who are committed to working for the wellbeing of their families. Doña Laura is a woman who is very happy and can always be found making her group companions laugh. She has been in a happy marriage with Mr. Pedro for 24 years, and together they have four children, three of which are pursuing their studies; one in college; one in high school; and another in middle school. "My expenses are significant because I must pay my daughters' tuition, but thanks to my activity I can obtain income and as such can continue forward", she commented, satisfied. Currently she continues breeding sheep as she's had the animals since they were very small, and on occasions the females that she has in her corrals even give birth. She feeds the sheep with the grass of the extensive pastures in her locality. Her main customers are people from other communities that value her activity and make traditional dishes with her animals. Doña Laura's goal is to be able to start breeding different animals and, faithful to her happy character, she comments while smiling "I hope to God that one day I will come to have a great variety of animals". With this new loan offered through VFMéxico she will buy more sheep and food so that her animals will develop well. The other members of the group that will invest in sheep are Basilia, Rosa, Esmeralda, Brenda, Juana y Toribio; Elvira y Yaneth will invest in sheep and foul. *The photograph was taken in the stairs of the municipal kiosk.
