Nak Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy fish to make Prahok (local cuisine) for selling in the nearby neighborhoods.

Nak Group's story

Nak is a 60-year-old married rice farmer with two children. She has cultivated rice since 1979. She is pictured first from the right. Her two children are a factory worker and a construction worker.

Her husband is 60 years old, and is a construction worker. They live in the Takeo Province of Cambodia). Together, they earn approximately $16.53 per day.

Nak is group leader, and would like to request a loan as part of a group with five members. She will use her portion to buy fish to make Prahok for selling in the nearby neighborhoods. Prahok is salty fish kept in the jar for months and needs to be steamed to have with fresh vegetables.

This loan will help her earn more income in order to improve her living. In the future, she is going to expand her Prahok selling business, and save money to build a fence around her house.
